Grey Durose was born on the edge of Horsell Common many decades after the fictional invasion of the red, worm-like Martians imagined by H.G.Wells. He has never met a Martian.
His debut novel, Nameless Cult is the first in a series of books named: Threads of Reality. He initially wrote the book as part of a much larger novel but, after years of procrastination and hand wringing, finally decided to break it down in to more manageable chunks. The second book in the series, Disturbing Gods, is now available.
Grey is a Physics degree dropout who's worked in many fields and associated with people from equally varied backgrounds, which has led him to the conclusion that: "People are just people, wherever you go. Some are amazing, some are horrible but most of us are somewhere in between."
Since childhood Grey has often suffered from depression and social anxiety has followed him like a shadow. As a consequence, he has spent more time observing and thinking about our strange, daunting but sometimes lovely world than most of us do. Brisk walks, gardening, reading, games, movies and cooking, all help to keep him sane enough to write.
