Marty Roppelt

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Marty's family roots stem from Transylvania. Yes, THAT Transylvania, where his parents emigrated from in the mid 1950's.

So of course, Marty enjoys writing in the paranormal / horror genre. Ghosts, angels and demons lurk here! His supernatural and horror stories offer Twilight Zone-esque irony sprinkled with dashes of humor as everyday characters come face-to-face with entities that shouldn't exist, but do.

Marty's novel Mortal Foe was a finalist in the Best Book Awards competition. Retired now and with much more time to write, he looks forward to entering more competitions and presenting more twisted tales to readers who want that icy finger traced down their spine.

Marty also writes supernatural Christmas stories one might categorize as "warm and fuzzy." All author profits from these go to St. Herman's House, a homeless shelter in Cleveland, Ohio.

Marty and his wife Becky have lived in northern Illinois for nearly twenty years. They enjoy quiet time with their cats Nala and Malik.
