Alyssa C. Teague is the pseudonym of an aging writer who lives in the Rocky Mountains, where she races motorcycles and drinks heavily, usually not at the same time. In her time, Alyssa has been a college dropout, a waitress, a sailing instructor, a part-time park ranger, and a bottle blonde in more than one sense. She comes from a broken home in southern California, which is almost a tautology, and has never married nor had children, in accordance with Philip Larkin’s sage advice in his poem, “This Be the Verse.” In recent years she has turned to writing satire.
