Author Bio: Maurice Allen.

Maurice Allen has been an information sponge all his life. If he witnesses something, reads something, hears something, regardless of the significance at the time, it is filed away in what he describes as his ‘memory bank if useless trivia. This memory bank has become fertile ground for his writing.

Basing his works on this information, often tenuous evidentiary threads and information available in the public domain, and using his story telling abilities, he has created works that are moving, thought provoking and entertaining.

The youngest son of a Sydney Train Driver, he was the more intelligent of the three brothers, but the least academic. Eschewing a university degree, he began his working life as a plumber where he was able to use his technical imagination to great effect for almost twenty years. For the next twenty years he was a public servant until his department was abolished. For the final ten years of his working life he was a chauffeur. This, along with his love of cars and driving, allowed him to meet people from all walks of life.

His passions are, apart from writing, is fast cars (within the speed limit of course!!!) and his two Miniature Schnauzers.

His ethos is; ‘The day that I lose my desire to learn, and my sense of humour, is the day that I shuffle off, because there is nothing left to live for’.
