Thanks for your curiosity about me. It's my pleasure to write, and I enjoy sharing stories, whether they come from or painstaking research, as in the background for "The Florida Saga" ("For Salt and Sand", & "And Still They Came"), first-person experience ("Romancing Through Italy"), or purely imagination ("Encounter at Cloud Ranch, Legend of the Clouds").

We live in an amazing world, and exploring it and learning about new people, places, and cultures is one of the great joys available to us. Unfortunately, a lifetime is not enough to begin to grasp or appreciate all this amazing planet has to offer, and time itself holds more wonderful stories within its history. We are blessed with only a few pages of existence within a book that spans time immemorial. Books, though, give us a way to experience those delights that would normally be beyond our reach.

I am pleased to be able to offer readers a few glimpses of people and places separated from us through geography or time. I hope you enjoy my stories, and share them with friends and family. I sincerely welcome feedback, and often travel to speak to readers in person about my experiences. I look forward to an opportunity to meet you during one of my future book signing events.

Official Biography:

Robert James Connors is an award-winning writer, journalist, and managing editor, an experienced public speaker, and author of several books and more than 1,000 human-interest, feature, and news stories during a career spanning 40 years.

A dedicated traveler, he is a contributor to publications covering topics ranging from environment to classical music and history.

Connors has served as an invited guest speaker (in both English and Italian) at military commemorative events in Italy, recognizing the service of American veterans of World War Two in the Liberation of Italy from the Nazi/Fascists.

In addition to his travels and writing, he serves as president of the not-for-profit Lake Wales Heritage, an Olmsted Conservancy.
