Tech industry exec by day, author by night, Amit Ray writes children’s fiction. He sees himself as a Dan Brown for kids, though nobody else does. Least of all, Dan Brown.
He has almost twenty years of corporate experience, none of which is of any use in his writing. But at least he got to travel extensively to historical sites all over the world so he can cheerfully misrepresent them in his writing.
In a less-than-illustrious writing career, Amit has failed to win the Newbery Medal, the Geisel Medal or the Boston Globe Horn Book Award. He did, however, win bronze for the sack race in elementary school, so that’s something.
