Kelly Owen

When she lost her eldest child suddenly age 12, Kelly Owen channelled her grief through sharing her open and honest accounts on her blog www.chasingdragonfliesblog.com. She also is a regular writer for Still Standing Magazine, an online grief resource based in the US.

Kelly recognised a need to open up the conversation about death and self-published two books in order to support children and families going through a similar experience.

'The Dragonfly Story' is an illustrated children's book based on the fable on the transformation of the dragonfly. It offers gentle hope in heaven and being reunited with our loved ones.

'Life, Without You - a journal through grief' is an illustrated journal that aims to help the bereaved as they adapt to life with loss.

Kelly lives with her husband and children in Cheltenham, UK and works as a proofreader and editor.
