Kelly Owen

Kelly is a writer, bereaved parent and creator of Chasing Dragonflies, a gentle online space offering comforting articles and books to families navigating grief. She is the author of The Dragonfly Story, a child-friendly retelling of the well-known 'Waterbugs and Dragonflies' fable, framed around her own experience of sibling loss but written to speak to any loss a child may be facing. Her second book, Life, Without You, is a guided journal for parents and families grieving the loss of a baby, child or teenager, offering gentle prompts so readers are never facing a blank page. Both books are used by families across the UK and US, as well as by schools, hospitals, hospices, counsellors and bereavement teams who value Kelly's warm, honest approach. She lives near Cheltenham with her family and continues to write and nurture her love of nature and peaceful outdoor spaces.
