TOM R. DAVIS, ED.D, is highly regarded for his leadership training, strategic planning, and organizational performance knowledge. For the past ten years, Tom has served as a consultant for Educational Testing Service, Total School Solutions, the San Bernardino County Office of Education, and The Charter School of San Diego. From 2005 to 2009, he acted as an executive coach to many of today’s dynamic educational leaders. His unparalleled integrity, passion, and commitment to building sustainable, cutting-edge organizations have made him a respected educational leader.
After seventeen years of classroom and administrative roles within the Anaheim Union High School District, Tom was appointed as principal of Redlands High School. During his tenure, the school grew to sixty-five hundred students in grades 9–12 and became one of the nation’s largest high schools. Moving to the district office, he played a leadership role in the planning and design of Redlands East Valley High School. He opened the school as principal and remained its leader until his retirement. For several years, Tom served on the executive committee of the California Interscholastic Federation, which governs high school interscholastic athletics. He represented Riverside and San Bernardino, the two largest counties in the United States.
Tom has fifteen years of experience as an adjunct professor at California State University–San Bernardino, University of Redlands, and National University. His courses included all subjects in teacher and administrative credential preparation. Under his leadership, Redlands High School earned three California Distinguished School Awards. In recognition of his contributions, Tom was awarded the Redlands Administrator of the Year. He has also served as Western Association of Schools and Colleges chairperson on thirty site visitations. He is a lifetime member of the Association of California School Administrators and Kiwanis International.
In addition to his professional activities, Tom enjoys family time, motor sports, water sports, and reading on educational policy.
