Robert Trotta

Robert Trotta is a retired NYPD Detective living in Jupiter Florida. Born in Brooklyn NY, Mr. Trotta graduated from Power Memorial Academy, served in the United States Army and spent a very successful career in the NYPD. After retiring from the Police Department, Mr. Trotta founded T & M Security and Investigative Services (now T & M USA LLC) an international security and consulting firm. Murder in the Gardens, Mr. Trotta's first novel is a murder mystery featuring a strong female lead detective, a retired police inspector who is now an insurance investigator and an aging career criminal. In addition to these three main characters, the books introduce us to members of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the Palm Beach Gardens and NYC police department, plus the NY Russian and Italian mobs. Mr. Trotta's second novel, Murder at the Florida Classic is a sequel to Murder in the Gardens. This story takes place during one of the most prestigious golf tournaments on the PGA Tour and follows the investigation into a brutal rape and murder of a young volunteer. The protagonist, Palm Beach County Homicide Detective Lydia Martinez and her boyfriend Retired NYPD Inspector Diomede (Dio) Bosso follow the suspect to Europe where he has committed other crimes. In flashbacks the reader will discover how and where these crimes were committed. The reader will "travel" with Martinez and Bosso to England, Scotland and finally Germany where they eventually confront their quarry which leads to a life and death struggle with this deranged killer. During this period to relationship between Martinez and Bosso becomes more intimate. Again, in flashback, the reader will learn of Bosso's time in Viet Nam as a young Air Force Military Policeman during the fall of Saigon in 1976. In each of these novels the reader will know who the perpetrators are and will follow along with the protagonist as they solve these crimes. Mr. Trotta is currently working on a third novel in this series.
