I am an attorney from Wisconsin. My day job

finds me regulating health care facilities and

advising government entities. At home, I

have a man and two adult sons whom I love

and am very proud of. Between us all, we

have a tribe of pets, including two dogs, three

cats, and three parrots. The parrots swear like

sailors. I’d blame my sons for being the bad

examples, but that’s just not true. It’s me.

My short-term rental is a three-bedroom,

three-bathroom ocean front penthouse on the

island of Ambergris Caye, in Belize. The condo is two stories, on the third

and fourth floors of the building. We have five private balconies, all with

amazing views of the second-largest barrier reef in the world. We’re

surrounded by lush, tropical jungle. Secluded and peaceful are the most

common comments from guests.
