I simply began writing because I felt that I needed to. I have so many ideas in my head it just seemed a shame to not put pen to paper (or finger to keyboard) and release them. It took me around 6 years on and off to write my first book. It was supposed to be a short story but it grew into something much bigger. When writing it I thought to myself - I don't want to go through this again but here I am putting notes together for my second book. I actually love writing and moulding an idea into something quite moving and often emotional. I visualise the scenes in my mind and try to plonk the reader right into them. I will admit I'm not much of a reader myself which I'm told is quite strange for an author. I like all things spooky, fascinated by the supernatural and of course history specifically the way we lived, how we coped and the extreme conditions of the 19th century. I'll leave it there as I don't want to ramble on. I hope you pop back and see how I'm getting on I shall try to keep regular posts coming through about my progress on any new titles and don't forget to read my first book Oak of Innocence.
