David Howlett

David lives with his family in the beautiful south of England, and enjoys taking the family dog for walks in the stunning countryside around them. He's been writing on and off for years, but started writing for his own children when they were small and it's grown from there, with stories based on their, and his, experiences and feelings. He's always enjoyed reading picture books to his children, "They're a great way to bond with children and help them learn to read, and I love how good illustrations can tell a story all of their own". Aside from day to day work and family life, David also enjoys tinkering in the garage and making things; his latest project was a kit-car and you could say he's a keen up-cycler using many parts he had saved in the garage! He like books to have a message, without being too full on, and thinks in this age of technology, there's still nothing nicer than settling down at a child's bedtime, and turning the pages of a good book together...
