Rebekah Stelzer was born in Ames, Iowa in 1986. As a proud Army brat, her early life was filled with moves to exotic places like, Georgia, Kansas and Maryland, In 1996 she landed in the wild-west: Texas, where she has been pretty much ever since. Her love of stories started on cross country car trips, because there was no magic technology to keep her entertained. So staring out the window making up stories or reading books had to suffice.
Twenty years later she finally finished the long process of getting one of those stories out of her head and into an actual paperback book.
'The Queen and Knights of Nor', Rebekah's debut novel recently won a 2017 Gertrude Warner first in category prize. She hopes to inspire a generation of technology inundated children to look out the window, dream once in a while, and explore the worlds waiting in their imaginations.
