Dr. Tina J Arorash

Dr. Arorash writes innovative picture books for children and their caregivers, about factors that facilitate fostering positive attachments with children. She desires to make psychological theories and research readily accessible to children, caregivers, educators and those interacting in the lives of children. She creates light-hearted stories that aid children in navigating their feelings and their relationships with others, with a twist toward resolving relational conflicts. Her books strive to aid any child, caregiver, grandparent, social worker, mental health professional, and many more, in enhancing their relationships with self and others.

She has amassed over 13+ years as a Psychologist, with a specialization in the treatment of children, and their families. She has published in peer reviewed journals, has presented in national conferences and has received specialized training in childhood trauma, attachment, OCD, anxiety disorders, EMDR and others. She is affiliated with several professional organizations, such as: American Academy of Pediatrics, EMDR, etc.

Dr. Arorash received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University in New York City. She received two Master's Degrees from Columbia University and has a Master's Degree from Harvard University. Her clinical training took place in the U.S. and Canada. She has experience working in the following treatment settings: children's hospitals, children's rehabilitation hospital, outpatient mental health centers, college counseling centers and community mental-health centers.
