Cheryl Gillespie

Cheryl Grant Gillespie is a retired teacher and now author with 2 books out on Androscoggin Press, a small independent press in Maine. Both of her books are about strong, resilient woman. GRACIE & ALBERT is about Cheryl's mother's struggle with mental illness that includes her father's battle to hold their young family together while her mother was institutionalized. Her second book FROM BEAVER CREEK TO HANOI is about Minnie Lee Gartley, mother of a captured American pilot, who becomes an activist in the anti-war movement to get her son and other POWs out of North Vietnam. Both books are works of nonfiction written in narrative form.
