Nicholas D. Riccio

Originally trained as a sociologist, Nick decided to pursue a career in Corporate Finance. He worked on Wall Street for almost 35 years, and was a Managing Director at a major credit rating firm. Part of his role included being a company spokesman for key issues, and he frequently interacted with the media on emerging trends in finance. Several of his published articles received coverage in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Financial Times. Nick was often a guest speaker at many Corporate Finance and High Yield Investment conferences. A series of articles he orchestrated and coauthored, The Leveraging of America won his team the McGraw-Hill Corporate Achievement award in 2008. That series has been included in the curriculum at some business schools. Since his retirement from corporate finance, he has entered the rare book business, and is currently a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association of America. He specializes in books relating to American and African American History. Nick his wife, Mary, and sons David and Paul reside in New Jersey. Nick’s family shares his love of science fiction films, and they frequently attend sci-fi conventions in the region.
