Rona Halsall

Rona is the best selling author of gripping and twisty psychological thrillers. She lives halfway up a mountain in Snowdonia, North Wales with her writing support team - Maid, Evie and Sandy, her rescue dogs.

All of her storylines are set in places that she knows, often having lived in the area. Favourite settings are North Wales and Yorkshire, which appear in many of her books.

The starting point for her books often comes from social media and news stories. Once the seed of an idea is rooted in her brain, long walks with her dogs allows the ideas to grow into devious storylines. It's a magical process and always surprising and exciting to witness the evolution to a finished book.

THE BIGAMIST, was short-listed in the US for the International Thriller Writers Awards 2024, and the translation has also been shortlisted for an award in Holland. This book has now been translated into five foreign languages.
