Kira Kariakin

Kira Kariakin (Caracas, 1966). Poet and editor. She has published the poetry books Nuevos Arbitrios (Taller editorial "El pez soluble", 2011), and En medio del blanco (OT Editores, 2014). Anthologies and compilations where her work is included: Miradas y palabras sobre Caracas, para bien o para mal. (Una Sampablera por Caracas, Venezuela 2013), Noch bleibt uns das Haus - We still have the house (Hochroth Heidelberg, Germany 2018), Resist, Latin American poetry anthology (Allpamanda and Écrits de Forges, France 2019),Nubes. Poesía Hispanoamericana (Pre-textos, Spain 2019), Dossier Anthology of Venezuelan Poets (142 Cultural Magazine, Spain 2019), and in the plaquettes Mermelada para llevar 1 & 2 (Jamming Poético, Venezuela 2011). Poems, stories and chronicles of her authorship can be found in different digital publications. She co-edited the anthologies: 102 Jamming poets (OT editores, 2014), One Hundred Women Against Gender Violence (Fundavag, 2015), and El Puente es la Palabra - Anthology of Venezuelan Poets in the diaspora (Cáritas de Venezuela, 2019). Co-founder and co-organizer of the Poetic Jamming (2011-2018). Writes the blog k-minos.com since 2001.
