Gina Masullo Chen

Gina M. Masullo (Ph.D., Syracuse University) is an Associate Professor in the School of Journalism and Media and the Associate Director of the Center for Media Engagement, both in Moody College of Communication at The University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on how the digital space both connects and divides people and how that influences society, individuals, and journalism. She has a particular interest in gender and incivility in the digital sphere. When she isn't writing, she's spending time with her two children, two dogs, and girlfriend.
