Amber Kourofsky

Amber Kourofsky was born on May 22, 1980 in Rochester, New York. Amber received her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then went on to attend Stetson University College of Law where she earned her Juris Doctorate degree. While attending Stetson Amber was the recipient of multiple internships, was employed as a research assistant, and was awarded accommodations such as the William F. Blews pro-bono award, an award for her research contribution to the National Clearinghouse for Science, Technology, and the Law, and a certificate of achievement. She was also selected as an alternate for the U.S. Army Jag Internship program. Prior to attending law school she worked an account executive for HSBC bank for her first career.

Amber became a licensed attorney in 2010 upon passing the Florida Bar where she was sworn into the Federal Middle District, Federal Middle District Bankruptcy, and the State Courts of Florida. In 2011 Amber was admitted into all Federal Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Florida. Amber has appeared on behalf of clients in federal and states courts all over the State of Florida. She has represented Plaintiffs and Defendants, as well as Creditors and Debtors. Ambers clients have ranged from multimillion dollar corporations to singular individuals. In 2016 the Florida Supreme Court awarded AK LAW, PLLC for providing excellence in pro bono services. Prior to co-authoring Worry Free Bankruptcy Amber appeared as a guest speaker on Stewart Alexander's Let's Talk Bankruptcy series.

In her spare time Amber enjoys to travel. In 2006 Amber backpacked through Europe for 29 days. Amber has continued to travel and enjoys experiencing new places, cultures and loves trying new foods. Amber is also a certified SCUBA diver and very much enjoys exploring the depths of the ocean in her spare time.
