Michael Sistrom

Professor, Chair, Department of History Greensboro College. MA and Ph.D. from UNC-Chapel Hill. My research and writing have focused on black politics and voting rights in Mississippi and North Carolina. I have also helped create sections relating to North Carolina history generally North Carolina during WWI for the "Documenting the American South" web collection [http://docsouth.unc.edu/] hosted by UNC-CH libraries. My North Carolina History students at GC have also conducted six community history projects over the years to collect and preserve aspects of Greensboro History. One of them resulted in the "J.C.
