Joseph Vella

Joseph Vella was born in Malta, in the town of Valletta in January

1944 during World War 2.

My Family migrated and arrived in Australia in 1952.

These days, my hometown is in rural Victoria. I am a proud father of 6 adult children,

a grandfather and a great-grandfather.

In my younger years, I regularly attended church and even had

a mental list of whom to pray for every single night.

At the Catholic School I attended, I heard many stories about Jesus,

The Healings and the Miracles He did from the Gospels.

At the age of 39, I began to think more about Jesus. Is He real?

So I very seriously said to God, " Where is Jesus?

Where are the healings, the miracles? Everything seems dead,

Nothing ever happens; my prayers are never answered.

Then I said, " Is Jesus real? Is God real? Does Jesus still heal

today? I want to know...

A short time later, we went to visit my Sister, as it happened, she and

her husband were going to Church, so she invited us to go with them

(I knew later that God was behind this). It was a Pentecostal Church.

For the first time in my life I was hearing the Bible Preached.

The Holy Ghost Convicted my heart and He melted it.

The preacher gave an alter call to ask Jesus to come into our heart.

I jumped out of my seat and ran down the Aisle to the front.

The Preacher laid hands on me as I said the sinner's prayer,

inviting Jesus into my Heart. The Holy Ghost touched my heart and tears ran.

He took out all the junk, the pride, the anger, He just melted my heart.

He gave me a brand New Recreated Human spirit. 2 Cor 5:17.

When I finished Praying Jesus made me an Evangelist Eph 4:11.

So I became Born Again in May 1983.

Then in August 1983 I received The Precious Holy Ghost with the

evidence of speaking in other Tongues as the Spirit gave utterance.

The Holy Ghost set my Heart "ON FIRE".

It began a hunger and thirst for Righteous, (I couldn't put the Word of

God down). I could not get enough of the things of God. So I studied and Prayed, went out and prayed for people.

Previously I did not know or read the Bible, now I could not get enough.

The Holy Spirit directed me on what to learn, and who to learn from.

As I obeyed He backed up His Word to me.

Example: I studied on Jesus; many people were getting Born Again with signs following.

As I studied about The Holy Spirit, people were receiving The Precious Holy Ghost.

As I studied on Angels and Demons, many people were delivered.

As I studied I learned about the Character of God: What He is like.

As I studied on Christ the healer, people were being healed.

Can you see the Faithfulness of God?

The Holy Spirit told me to use wisdom when praying for people.

God always wants to heal because "healing is part of the Atonement".

But there are reasons why a person is not healed.

Although God is Sovereign, He has rules and He will not go against a

person's free will. So Because Mankind has been given a FREE WILL, we can HINDER God.

An Example, unforgiveness can hinder (not always) God.

An intercessor was in Constant pain (a rare illness); she was prayed

for by many of her Christian friends.

Before we prayed for her I asked God how to pray??

He said rebuke the devil. We did and God healed her.

It is so important to have a good, accurate knowledge of God's Holy Word.
