Hello, I’m Bill Kearney. I think I was always destined to be a planner…
Bill grew up in the Lake Norman, NC area, so when the news came that his town was getting an NFL team, he asked his father if he would buy season tickets. His dad said he would be glad to buy a seat, as long as Bill was willing to earn the money needed to buy my own seat. They cost $5,000 each, so Bill mapped out his very first “financial plan”—the one to get from zero dollars to $5000 in one summer. By the end of that summer, he had 30 clients and 4 people working for him. Bill had saved enough money to buy a season ticket (and a new set of wheels for his dad’s mower).
Fast forward a few years to the business he now owns and operates, Integrated Financial Concepts, LLC. Bill is a planner because he is passionate about people and finances. He believes that most people are inherently wise and understand that they need a plan, a roadmap to follow. But their problem is that they just can’t find an adviser in whom they trust, so they go without a plan. And unfortunately, they soon find out that traveling the retirement journey without a well-designed roadmap is not a good idea.
Money is important, but really, money is just fuel for your journey through life. Holistic planning ensures that money is put to its highest and best use, which, in large part, will determine how enjoyable your journey will be.
Bill graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2001 and again in 2003. Shortly after graduating, he started his career in financial services. He learned pretty quickly that being independent would allow him to be unbiased and holistic in his planning practice. When you work for a company, there is always the corporate push to sell their products. Bill’s focus is to choose the very best for his clients and being an independent Fiduciary gives him the ability to shop the market and make superior recommendations without external pressure to sell or produce.
When he’s not working, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife Natasha and his two boys, Nolan and Reid. Physical fitness is a passion and a great stress reliever so if he’s not creating your retirement income plan, or playing with the family, you’ll might look for him at the gym.
If you have any questions, I’d be happy to speak with you.
Warmest Regards,
Bill Kearney
