I've been telling stories all my life. Often they'd make my friends and family laugh, sometimes they'd get me in trouble, like the time I tried to explain how it was my homework had gone missing in Mrs. Russel's 9th grade English class! When I became a father I realized just how wonderful stories could be and how they could draw me closer to my daughters. Whether it was tucking them into bed or sitting around a campfire, stories became an important part of our relationship. Now I am able to carry that tradition on with my grandchildren, "telling takling stories from my head" as my grandson used to call it. We adventure with Moon Monkeys, learn why dragons love hot peppers, and quake at the shadow of the million-legged beast (don't worry, it's just a centipede in tennis shoes)!
I hope to be able to share some of those stories with you in the coming months and years, and I hope you and your children can have some fun with them. Mostly, I hope you see that anyone can tell stories. Now excuse me, there is a Moon Monkey throwing cookies at me from the tree in my backyard and I have to do something about it!
