Born in Brooklyn, I made my way to Lower Manhattan in my late teens (via the subway—I don't recommend it). Years later, I met my husband there. It was an arranged marriage: our dogs hooked up and we sort of took a second look and said... whatever. It could work. And it did. We left Tribeca to live in Santa Fe, NM. Along the way we lived in Chicago and LA before staggering back to NYC and eventually upstate NY. Along the journey, we raised two pretty decent lads and multiple four-legged ones.

I'm a reader before I'm a writer—I love books. As a toddler, I memorized books and then pretended to read them, getting my first glorious taste of conning people. Later on, I became a proofreader and then copy editor, but I’ve never stopped writing and I'm always reading. My first attempt at a book was as interpreter for the diary of my boyfriend’s dog and was titled The Book of Egg. It was just that Egg was so damn funny—you would have loved him.

Lately, I’ve been really into writing fiction and have published a number of novels under a pen name. I’ve decided that now’s the time to stop cowering and own my work. So... here I am.
