Diana was born and raised in central Michigan with a pencil in her hand. Her earliest childhood memories were of either writing, sketching, or creating something she perceived as spectacular.
She was as surprised as anyone that she hadn’t pursued writing as a career. Becoming a mother (another of her passions) put dreams of a writing career on hold, although she continued writing as a hobby.
Fast-forward a couple wonderful decades, five children and three grandchildren later, her artistic side had finally wooed her home. Diana believes a combination of her grandchildren’s imaginations, a desire to bring awareness to environmental issues, and more time on her hands, were just the ingredients needed for her to jump back in.
Feeling blessed to be able to “revisit” the wonders of a child’s mind, 'where even the simplest of things seem amazing', Diana focuses on writing stories that not only entertain, but also touch on the responsibilities we have to our planet and the creatures we share it with.
"If I can bring an awareness to only one child, I will consider myself a 'best-selling' author."
