IVONNE SÁNCHEZ BAREA (Born in NY. Lives in Spain, Colombian-Spanish origin)

POET AND ARTIST

She founded and chaired cultural and literary associations in Spain. Correspondent member of the Boyacense Academy of Language, affiliated with the Spanish Academy of Language of Colombia. Full member of the Il Convivio Academy. Vice President of the Gabriele Galloni International Poetry Prize, Granada, Spain, since 2025. Representative member of NGOs in Spain, Member of cultural and environmental associations and movements: Ateneo and Centro Artístico de Granada. Member of CREA, ESPEJO, AEPE (Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors), among others. She serves on scientific committees. She participated at International Poetry Festivals in Spain and Latin America.

Collaborated in 2014 for Granada's inclusion in the Creative Cities Network (UNESCO) with over one million signatures.

In 2024:

- Accésit Award in the International METAPOESÍA Competition for the book "PIEL".

- First AWARD at International Book Prize for Contemporary Poetry, "SED AGUA" (Spanish/Italian) by the Seneca Academy of Arts and Philosophical Sciences of Italy.

In 2025:

- International Award for Excellence, DIVINAMENTEDONNA, Senate of the Italian Republic.

- CIÓ CHE CAINO NON SA Painting Award, Foggia, Italy.

- "LA PAZ EN VERSO" Award, San Severo, Italy.

- GABRIELE GALLONI International Poetry Award, Montignoso, Tuscany, Italy.

- 1st International Book Award for Contemporary Poetry, "SED TIERRA" (Spanish/Italian) from the Seneca Academy of Arts and Philosophical Sciences of Italy.

At January of 2026, eighty (80) published books: poetry, novels, and essays, in several languages. Several books have included her own art works. She has been published in international poetry anthologies, translated into several languages, and included in cultural, literary and art magazines, academic, and scientific journals. She has anthologized authors from Spain and America.

Creator of the collections of essays on literary analysis of poets and writers: Illuminata Verba and Caleidoscopio.

Art exhibitions in museums on three continents. Her art works is in the hands of private collectors and in official institutions in several countries.

Several International and National awards for Sculpture and Painting since the 1970s.

Fundó y Presidió Asociaciones Culturales y Literarias en España. Miembro Corresponsal Academia Boyacense de la Lengua, adscrita a la Academia Española de la Lengua de Colombia. Miembro Número Academia Il Convivio. Vicepresidente Premio Internacional de Poesía Gabriele Galloni, Granada, España desde 2025. Representante miembro en España de ONG'S, Miembro de Asociaciones y Movimientos Culturales y Medioambientales: Ateneo y Centro Artístico de Granada. Miembro de CREA, ESPEJO, AEPE Asociación Española de Pintores y Escultores, entre otras. Forma parte de Comités Científicos. Conferenciante en España e Hispanoamérica.

Colaboró en 2014 para la inclusión de Granada en la Red de Ciudades Creativas (UNESCO) con más de un millón de firmas.

Participa en Festivales Internacionales de Poesía. Premiada y finalista en diversos concursos de poesía, arte y Medio Ambiente.

Ha sido publicada en antologías poéticas internacionales. Traducida a varios idiomas e incluidos en revistas culturales, literarias, académicas y científicas. Antologadora de autoras de España y América.

Creadora de las colecciones de ensayos de análisis literario de poetas y escritores: Illuminata Verba y Caleidoscopio.

Exposiciones de Arte en museos de 3 continentes. Su obra esta en manos de coleccionistas de varios países.
