Dr. Terri Major-Kincade

Dr. Terri, is a practicing medical doctor, best-selling author and champion for premature babies and their families. Board-certified in both pediatrics and neonatology, she is a pioneer in the field of neonatal palliative care and perinatal hospice as well as perinatal health disparities. She has been featured on ABC’s Houston Medical, Good Morning America, and Lifetime’s Women Docs and is frequently a keynote speaker at national pediatric, obstetric, and palliative care conferences. Her mission is to empower families to make informed choices for their babies, one family at a time….at a time when they believe they have no choices, as well as to empower physicians and nurses to help families making those difficult choices. She strongly believes that, while it is not possible to save every baby, finding hope during despair is a gift that benefits both families and staff as they do their very best to care for both the family and the baby. Dr. Terri lives in Dallas, Texas, with her husband, two children and two dogs. She was inspired to pursue a career in neonatology by her own sister who was born three months early in 1968. After 20+ years in practice she remains fascinated to this day with babies that are tiny enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
