Hannah Cao

Hannah Cao is a poet and novelist, based in Dresden, Germany.

Pulling inspiration from her personal adventures growing up between different cultures and homes, falling in love, battling mental health, and dealing with loss along the way, she now fuels her writing with topics of identity, belonging and the complexity of interpersonal relationships.

Her writing has appeared online as well as her first poetry collection SEASHORE, published in February 2020 with KDP. Her debut contemporary novel, CAFE AT 46 OLD STREET, was published in November of 2021. She is currently working on her second poetry collection, I HOPE I’M ON MY WAY SOMEWHERE, and drafting a mystery oral history novel, titled THE PHAM GIRLS.

Hannah works as a barista by day, towards her dream of one day owning her own book store cafe. She is the founder and editor of an indie press in its beginning stage, In A Room Alone Press.
