Vaughn-Shane Camarda

Vaughn-Shane Camarda began writing hilarious paranormal short stories about his close group of friends back in 2008. Over the years, as he further developed his craft by delving into the full-length novel waters, Vaughn-Shane quickly realized that storytelling was what he wanted to do. After graduating high school and moving to Pittsburgh-proper, Camarda got a job as a barista in a lawyer’s building smack dab in the downtown area. In his time spent perfecting the latte, he began writing his forthcoming young adult fiction book, Cancel. Shortly after his stark realization that traditionally publishing a novel was no iced caramel macchiato, he set off on a not-so-epic quest to obtain a psychology degree and expand his mind about the whole-body effects of grief and loss.

From coffee shop barista to hotel manager, to working as a case manager at one of the most prominent LGBT health clinics in western Pennsylvania, Vaughn-Shane continues to write about mental illness, the woes, and the triumphs of life on his blog, themediator.blog . Adding to his wide-ranged and random talents, Camarda is the audio director for the stage adaption of Amanda Filippelli’s book of poetry, Blue Rooms. Vaughn-Shane continues to develop himself as a full-time author and aspiring speaker to bring his works and passions hand-in-hand in the hopes that, as it is helping and healing himself, it will inherently help and heal others.
