Quentel Smith

Quentel is a published author, professional speaker, and academic resilience specialist who is on a mission to help save students by one school at a time.

Quentel has been a featured speaker for The Carol Adams Foundation, The Heart of Gold Organization and featured in Richmond’s Magazine’s regarding First Generation College students.

Quentel is the epitome of academic resiliency. Born and raised in Richmond, VA. As a freshman at Franklin Military Academy, Quentel found himself at the lowest of part of his class. During this year, he failed 9th grade English, and 9th Math. But that didn’t stop him. In that following year, Quentel learned the importance of education, and how it can change the trajectory of his life.

With his hard work and determination, Quentel earned honor roll for his full 10th grade year and went on to graduate among the top ten percent of his graduating class and becoming a first-generation college student. Now, Quentel has committed his life to help other students develop the mindset, confidence, and resilience to achieve academic and personal success.

Quentel has been featured on 4SistersLive, The Christian Coffee Shop, and 105.3 FM The Choice. Quentel has spoken at the following organizations: Dolls Against Domestic Violence, Kingdom Life Church, The Chesterfield Women’s League, and Sixth Baptist Church.
