Kenya Turner was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in several small towns surrounding Tulsa, but ended up Stillwater, Oklahoma. Writing and reading has been a passion, since elementary school. Kenya loved nothing more, than when the book fairs would come to her school. Poetry was one of the main ways that Kenya shared her personal stories with the world. Writing has always been an escape for her.
