Rick Henry

Rick Henry (1956-present) was born in Manchester UK, and grew up in Scarborough on the East coast of the UK. For 23 years Rick has taught Business English to professionals in Tokyo, Japan.

Rick’s English books are based on his years of experience in the education industry working with business professionals. Rick’s ideas and insight into business English also based on his many years working in the UK in the computer industry, both testing and eventually designing computers and systems for both the oil and generator industries.

In Tokyo, one of highlights of his career was helping the president of the Tokyo Olympic committee (TOC) (Mr. Mizuno) prepare presentations to the Olympic committee members in order to help Japan be awarded the 2020 Olympics.

In addition, Rick has trained many of the presidents of JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), for them to be able to communicate effectively with NASA and worldwide space agencies.

In addition, Rick is very involved with technology; firstly, using technology as aid to educating students, designing IOS apps to help both students and teachers and secondly writing software for the Apple App Store. Rick believes that combining technology and business professionals is best way for them to improve their English abilities.
