Ronnie K. Barnes

A resident of Montgomery, Alabama, Ronnie Kennedy Barnes holds a bachelor degree in public relations: minor in business management and military science from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa Alabama. He holds a master degree in human resource management from Troy State University (Montgomery, Alabama Campus). He is an US Army veteran and has been a commission officer in US Army Reserve. He furthered his education attending University of South Carolina at Columbia school of journalism where studies included additional learning in the field of news reporting. He is a former newspaper reporter, and he has spent twenty-five years as a government employee. A member of Prince Hall Masory and the Alpha Phi Alpha Incorporated Fraternity. Most importantly, he is a gospel singer, and his deep feeling for the history of the music inspired him to write The New Joyful Sounds.
