Leo Gafney is a former Jesuit priest who earned master’s degrees in Theology and Mathematics and a doctorate in education. He was the founding principal of a small inner-city school in Baltimore. After leaving the Jesuits he worked in publishing and for the past 30 years has served as an evaluator for funded programs in the sciences. He has published articles in America magazine, a book of reflections on the Our Father (Paulist), a professional book on peer-led team learning, and several text books. He lives in Lakeville, CT with his wife Judy. They have two grown daughters, one living in Brooklyn, the other in Lebanon.
