Clare Llewellyn

Dr Clare Llewellyn is a Chartered Psychologist and Lecturer in Behavioural Obesity Research at University College London, where she leads the Obesity research group, and the Gemini twin study. She has a long-standing fascination with eating behaviour, which probably stems from having been a notoriously fussy eater as a child. A decade ago she helped establish Gemini, the largest twin study ever set up to explore the 'nature and nurture' of eating behaviour from the beginning of life. She has published nearly 100 scientific papers, book chapters and articles on this topic, and has given over 50 invited talks worldwide at prestigious organisations, such as the Royal Society of Medicine. She has won a number of international awards for her research from organisations such as the UK Association for the Study of Obesity, the European Association for the Study of Obesity, and The Obesity Society in the US.
