Doug Reynolds

Doug Reynolds (A Normal Turtle: An LGBTQ Kid's Book) is an author and illustrator residing in Portland, Oregon with his boxer-ridgeback, Harper. Born and raised in Chugiak, Alaska, Doug's background is in Theatre (BFA, Southern Oregon University). His passion is in creating books for children who are often underrepresented in media — particularly LGBTQ+ kids. His upcoming books included "An Actual Family" (for children adopted into LGBTQ+ homes) and "The Unbreakable Toy" (for children with chronic illnesses/disabilities).

He enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, video games, movies, TV, theatre... Generally any activity that involves some form of storytelling.
