Tim has studied at the national bakery schools in London and Switzerland and worked a stage in Pierre Hermé in Paris.
Tim now works freelance writing books and teaching classes near his home in Surrey. His books explain how to unlock the why of baking whilst demystifying the subject in a clear and helpful way. His style of writing is to explain the why of baking with clear recipes and helpful tips that help the reader understand how to make beautiful products and truly understand how to bake.
The inspiration for Tim writing books came from talking to John Huber and asking him if he was going to write some books as he had amassed so much work, John replied he hoped to but it never happened, so those of us who were lucky enough to study under him knew his secrets but the wider general public were denied. Having written hundreds of recipes Tim was determined to get his work published and share all that he has learnt.
As of April 2021 Tim has published 5 books and plans to write at least 20 more so watch this space!
