E.R. Hunter

Eric Robert Hunter is an author of books, screenplays, blog posts and speeches. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric & Leadership with special emphasis on Non-Profit Management and the Italian Language from Pepperdine University's Seaver College in Malibu, California.

The only child of an single-parent actress, Hunter came from humble beginnings in Oceanside, California prior to coming of age in Atlanta, Georgia and the suburbs of Washington D.C. As a child, he aspired to be a veterinarian however his ability to command the attention of an audience took precedence as he matured. During his teenage years, Hunter showed stellar leadership skills holding positions such as Class of 2008 President all four years of high school and Governor of The American Legion’s Virginia Boys State Conference 2007.

As an undergraduate he studied abroad in Florence, Italy becoming fluent in the Italian language while studying Renaissance art. His travels have taken him to Amsterdam, Jerusalem, Savusavu, and Sicily. Hunter draws inspiration from the locals he refuses to shy away from. He deploys an openness to learning the stories of others while weaving together the fabric of his own life. A proud member of the LGBTQ community, his spiritual practices include but are not limited to the traditions of Christianity, guided Buddhist meditation and yoga. His testimony asserts he found God in the eyes of dog and celebrates life by working an anonymous 12-step program with an ambition to live and stay sober.

In addition to writing, Hunter produces The Rhetorical Sake: a podcast about his personal adventures, experiences, and spirituality. A day in the life consists of spending time with Irie, his emotional support dog and working with other alcoholics in maintaining sobriety. Swimming, running, & surfing have become necessary pastimes for the young author as he finds solace in connecting with nature. Moreover, whether intermittent fasting or going on a jog with Irie, Hunter makes daily strides to improve the conditions of his body, mind, and soul as he establishes himself as a literary force to be reckoned with.
