David Heaney is the author of A YORKIE’S TALE: LESSONS FROM A LIFE WELL-LIVED, THE BLACK FOX OF BECKHAM, and NATHANIEL'S GOT THE BLUES. He also writes short stories and poetry. Prior to embracing the writing life, his professional life focused on assisting individuals and organizations pursuing their own transformational path. He has served as a parish minister, psychotherapist, teacher, and senior executive with a large private government services firm. Storytelling has always been a key component of his approach to leadership.
David attended and received degrees from SUNY College at Purchase, Yale University Divinity School, and the University of San Diego. David has traveled widely and lived in the UK, Israel, and San Diego California the setting for A YORKIE’S TALE and NATHANIEL.
He now lives with his wife and their three dogs in St. Louis, MO.
