I come from Whitby in North Yorkshire but I’ve spent most of my life in Norfolk. I attended school in North Walsham and went to work in local government. In the nineties I joined the Association of Accounting Technicians and continued my studies at university. Back then job openings weren’t so good, so I changed direction and joined the Civil Service.
As a teenager, I used to take photographs. I bought a Canon AV1 SLR camera and went all over the world taking pictures. I started digitising the photos recently and learned there's a lot more to scanning photographs than I ever imagined.
One day at work, I was working on a problem and during a conversation, a colleague challenged me to write a book. I said I would and sat down to write a novel. It's called Tortanuence. I wrote it as a page turner and I'm pleased with the result. It's packed full of lively characters who take on life changing events whilst facing down their own personal traumas. It has everything from lust to love and much more passion besides.
I have a new novel on the way, but before I go there, please take a look at my website, it’s at: http://jamesstephenson.ampbk.com/
Going forward, I have plenty of exciting stories to tell. So let's see what happens next...
Many thanks – James.
