Joseph Sidari

Joseph Sidari lives in the Boston suburbs with his wife and a labradoodle named Chloe, who firmly believes it is her responsibility to make sure they both get daily exercise. He is a practicing physician, which means he spends his days trying to keep real people alive and his nights finding inventive ways to endanger fictional ones. He is a member of the Grub Street Writers' Group of Boston and SFWA. He has three grown sons and a daughter-in-law in New York City.

A lifelong reader of speculative fiction, Joseph began writing it after flipping his bicycle during triathlon training and concluding that typing involved fewer emergency room visits. Thankfully, once his wrist healed, his writing habit did not. After several novels and an agent's helpful suggestion, he discovered a fondness for short fiction.

He has over twenty short stories in print and online, spanning the fantasy, science fiction, and horror genres. He is a recent winner in the Writers of the Future Contest, and his story, “A Girl and Her Dragon: A Life in Four Parts,” will be featured in Volume 42 of the Writers of the Future anthology, to be published in April 2026.
