James Newkirk

James Deric Newkirk, also known as "Jay-Dee", was born October 23, 1967, in Burgaw, North Carolina. He lived in Atkinson, N.C. until he graduated from Pender High School in 1986. He joined the US Army right out of high school and traveled the United States.

Learning that he had a knack for crafts he began designing, drawing and making Jewelry. He is the CEO of U'Neekly-D'Zigned founded in 2010. James co-wrote his first book in 2018, the anthology "Cries of a Broken Man & Screams of a Broken Woman."

He currently resides in Bowie Maryland, where he continues to write, and work on his jewelry.
