Laura grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where she's been writing stories and poetry since she was 11. She's the author of the Nikola Tesla series at "Letters Across Time," and on the Oregon Coast, have cards with her poetry illustrated with watercolor art by Carol Summers in gift shops. When she's not at her day-job or writing, she listens to science infotainment podcasts, information from which gets assimilated into her storylines to provide real-world science for many of the plot elements. In whatever spare time is left, you might find her in a community orchestra or local Irish sessions playing her viola, or jamming with some friends on her Scottish harp.
