Dr Jon A Sanborn

Jon A. Sanborn, writing as J A Sanborn, has published six mystery novels: The Last Cipher, The Orion Factor, Death Comes to Ely, The Stillwater Incident, Of Friends & Others, and Recollections.

He is a U.S. Navy veteran who served in VS-32, an antisubmarine squadron, aboard the USS Essex, CVS-9, at the peak of the cold war during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962.

He has served in management positions at high-tech corporations for over twenty years.

He holds a PhD in computational organic chemistry.

Moving into academia in the nineties, after retiring from industrial work, he again retired in 2016.

After retirement, he formed Swift River Publishing, LLC to provide publishing services for his own novels and for people who have written manuscripts and wish to have them published at modest cost.

He has had a lifetime interest in physics, chemistry, ciphers & codes, and mystery stories, fact and fiction. He and his wife live in Savannah, GA with a spoiled tuxedo cat.
