Michelle Vaid is a 46 year old Londoner, living between Sussex, UK and Siracusa, Sicily, Italy, is a writer who believes that children can and should dream, have adventures, overcome obstacles well and make choices regardless of what family they are born into. A new author who has travelled around the world to over 50 countries & who has unintentionally lived in 7 countries over the past twelve years. This unexpected transient lifestyle & love of children providing the impetus for the creation of the ‘Mr Peter’s Adventure' series with the first book set in Siracusa’ and being her debut children's fiction book, released in Dec 2017. A bilingual, Italian English interactive book for kids.
Her connection with children around the world has been a constant in her life, and this entrepreneur Michelle’s passion for traditions and cultures, children and the elderly, business efficiency, travel, writing, people & personal self-development has lead her to create a range of consultancy, blogs & personalised learning services for academic, personal and international business needs, all in line with her personal philosophy of living in simplicity. Her debut book set was written to allow children to engage in an interactive book providing them with an efficient way to read many stories and to make choices, but also just carry one book and live with simplicity ~ less is more.
Children are also able to learn through the book about the smaller things in life that matter fostering a sense of self awareness, emotional well-being and thinking about others.
Books are passports to freedom, but Michelle discovered this later on in her adult life as reading & writing were not easy for her at school. Feeling 'stupid', spending most of her school life playing sport & never studying as from a disruptive background filled not with books and bedtime stories but the chaotic aggression and traumas of a volatile family living on a north London estate. She was exempt from most classes as she truly believed all things bookish or academic were not for people from her background and focussed instead on surviving each day from her less than stable home life. In spite of this traumatic start and working when most children were still being helped with tying up shoelaces, in Michelle's mid teens she turned to studying as a way to achieve her goal of becoming a Sports Teacher. She did it, sending herself to university, supporting herself entirely financially & emotionally. She later studied psychology at university followed then by completing a Masters in Computing. An almost impossible journey considering the lack of previous self belief, support, opportunity or guidance. Her work has always grown organically, coming from passion, dedication & professionalism. Working from a young age and throughout her life having 3 jobs working 7 days a week, she now works just a few hours a day and for herself. Financially & emotionally independent since a child, Michelle has successfully found her way out from a challenging start to life to living a simple and nourishing life and has developed ways to learn, study and most importantly - to apply. Her professional and social success include:

Michelle has learned how to make time, energy & money work for her, and how being rich or poor isn't a barrier to doing anything one dreams of. She lives peacefully alone, but not lonely after a rich life full of unexpected journeys and encounters. She enjoys sharing this with others to inspire and motivate. The Mr Peter Adventure Series is just another means to inspire possibility, travel and mindfulness in young lives, showing children that life is all about making choices, taking calculated risks, failing at times and having endless chances to build a life.
