Jim Petipas

Jim Petipas has always loved cows and art! When he was a kid he would often be found drawing cars, animals or boats. Throughout his teen and college years, he was creating music as a drummer in a few local bands. After college, he worked in the business field and then went to seminary. and served as a youth pastor in a few New England churches for fifteen years. Jim went back to school for a degree in counseling and for the past nine years has had his own practice as an adolescent counselor. It was around that same time that Jim's daughters encouraged him to illustrate and publish his first children's picture book based on a song he co-wrote back in high school. This led to the fruition of, "The Cows Go Moo!" Ten percent of all profits from the book and Moo Merch sales go to Heifer International which will provide real cows to families living in poverty. This is called the "Buy-A-Book / Give-A-Cow" project.

Jim also went into the studio and recorded the song that accompanies the book page by page. Jim is still a counselor and enjoys skiing, boating and traveling with his family. He is at work on the second book in The Cows Go Moo Series, entitled, "The Cows Go Moo Shuffle!" He along with his wife Beth, two daughters; Olivia and Sophia and dog Earl live near Boston, Massachusetts.
