Freda Camille

Freda Camille transparently shares her testimony about various adversities and traumas she has experienced in her life through the many books she has authored. Her early experiences in life enduring rape/molestation, teenage pregnancy, depression, abandonment, and being her mother’s caretaker during her teenage years because of mental illness left her feeling insecure, self-conscious, and voiceless. Fortunately, those trials and tribulations were exactly what she needed to embrace and fully understand her purpose. With all she endured, she gained faith and strength which ignited the passion to become who she needed when she was younger. After the death of her mother in 1998, feelings of displacement and rejection began to dominate her mind as she faced life as a young mother of a 6-year-old daughter. It was at that moment; she gave her life totally to Jesus Christ. She used journaling to deal with the loss. This creative approach using her personal testimony is an attempt to reach many people who need help or instruction on how to deal with everyday life.

In 2004, Freda published her first poetry book “The Storms Caused My Faith”. This became the means of release that eventually led to her finding her true voice as an accomplished author. She has been afforded opportunities in DE, PA, NJ to mentor and speak to our impressionable youth and incarcerated women and teens at various treatment facilities and youth programs. As she continued to share her story, she was not only able to bring encouragement and inspiration, but she too was enlightened and gained much wisdom from those with whom walked in the shoes she had. Freda knew when the time was right, she would give back all that she learned and was taught along the way to aspiring writers and creatives of all ages. After releasing her seventh title “Open Wound” in September 2020, Freda took a break from writing and began coaching aspiring authors. Remembering how things were in the very beginning, Chase the dream became her plight! After many years of fighting God’s plan, she began to offer individualized services publishing authors through her company Chase Zion Publishing. Freda expresses gratitude and joy while she assists fellow authors to not only chase, but wholeheartedly realize their dreams.

Freda works as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a pediatrician's office and is a former Youth Leader at New Destiny Fellowship Church, Wilmington, Delaware. Although Author, Poet, Pediatric Nurse, Publisher, Playwright, Youth and Young Adult Advocate are among the titles she bears, her greatest and most fulfilling accomplishment and titles she proudly carries are Mom and Mom Mom! Freda is the mother of a 32-year-old Mental Health Nurse, Sateyai, and 5-year-old grandson King, both published authors, with whom she takes immense pleasure in. With God’s love and grace, Freda is an example that you do not have to look like what you have been through.

Habakkuk 2:2-4 KJV 2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
