David A. Fredrickson, writer and psychotherapist, has always been surrounded by stories. He is drawn to unheard voices and the shift of perspective that can make the ordinary, extraordinary. David is a long-time resident of San Francisco, a city steeped in beauty, misfits, and discovery. He sings in a world-renowned gospel choir and is a magician in the kitchen.
David’s first book, Life on All Fours: A Novel, is narrated by a puppy and influenced by his experiences in the LGBT community during the AIDS epidemic. The narrator’s voice is inspired by his dog, Rufus, who moved through life in a relentless search for possibility and a joie de vivre wiggle.
