Blackbird Crow Raven

Blackbird Crow Raven is a writer of fiction. His wacky, zany style is probably best described as a marbled mixture of Mark Twain, early Mad Magazine, and Hunter S. Thompson influences with a little Howard Zinn thrown in and, of course, “his own thing” coursing and bubbling throughout.

There are 51 books in his “New All-too-True-Blue History” (Creative Histories) series of books, one for each State and one for the Country as a whole.

These books are all just 32 pages, and liberally decorated with images that help readers envision the events being discussed.

The purpose of these “creative” histories is to make what could seem to be dry accounts of the past entertaining and intriguing. If it moves you to do extra research to find out "the rest of the story" or "the real story" as the case may be...mission accomplished!

So, those who know the history of the State being read about should easily “recognize” the events covered, while those unaware of the true history of the State may be moved to look into “the rest of the story” after reading the “alternate” version.

Therefore: Pick a State, any State. However, it’s recommended that you read “The New All-too-True Blue History of the Ewe-Knighted States” (the volume that briefly covers some of the events of the Country as a whole) first. By doing so, you will know how it came about that the Country got that rather unusual name.
